Statement of Understanding
Between Love INC of the Valley and the Affiliate Member Church
Our local Love INC is affiliated with national Love INC, a partner of World
Vision.
The mission of Love INC affiliated churches is to act as agents of God’s
love by meeting physical, emotional and spiritual needs of individuals and
families in our community.
We believe that God wants each and every person to know Jesus Christ as their
Savior, to be actively involved in a local church, and to work through a local
church to help others and to spread the gospel.
Love INC affiliated churches support a Central Office whose purpose is to
provide the member churches with practical opportunities to help their neighbors
in need and to share the gospel.
Our church pledges to support Love INC by:
1. Designating one or more persons to coordinate this outreach ministry in
our church, to inform Love INC of the kinds of opportunities desired by our
church and current programs offered, and to be our Contact Person/Church Ministry
Coordinator (CMC) for the Love INC office to spearhead better communication.
Pastor or CMC attends annual Love INC meetings to vote as a participating
member.
2. Having Love INC or our Church Ministry Coordinator present the TALENT TITHE
volunteer survey every 6 months to a year in which our congregates volunteer
to touch lives one on one.
3. Encouraging members of our congregation to serve as client counselors and
office volunteers at the Love INC Central Office. Encouraging members of our
congregation to serve on Love INC committees designed to better strategize
outreach in our community.
4. Including financial support of the Love INC office in our annual church
budget or through a love offering. The amount given is to be determined by
us as we are led by the Lord.
5. Starting or participating in special ministry programs (such as a food
or clothing closet) to meet the needs of our community, as the Lord leads.
6. Having Love INC communicate to our people through once a month LOVE NOTES
bulletin inserts.
7. Supporting the work of Love INC in prayer and providing a prayer contact
person for our church.

Love INC affiliated churches and ministries support an Administrative Office
whose purpose is to provide the member churches and ministries with practical
opportunities to help their neighbors in need and to share the gospel.
Our Ministry agrees to coordinate with Love INC in the following
ways:
1. Provide a ministry contact person who will attend a monthly coordinators
meeting to allow for relational contact between Love INC and the ministry. The
ministry contact person would update Love INC on your ministry activities and
volunteer availability.
2. Encourage members of our ministry to volunteer at the Love INC office and/
or provide services for clients.
3. Consider supporting Love INC financially either through a monthly pledge,
a love offering or a fundraiser.
4. Support Love INC through prayer and provide a prayer contact number.
5. Attend annual meetings to vote as a participating member.
